The Hamilton Road Upgrade Project
Hamilton Road is located in Brisbane’s northern suburbs between Chermside and McDowall. It runs east-west between the major arterials of Gympie Road and Old Northern Road.
The project involves the construction of a two lanes in the section of the road approximately 700 metres long, between Trouts Road and Paramount Circuit. The unconstructed section passes through the area commonly known as Chermside Hills.
A portion of Hamilton Road through the Milne Hill area will be realigned to meet design and future traffic growth requirements. The purpose of the project is to provide an alternative east-west connection to relieve congestion on other nearby east-west connections, in particular Rode Road.
