The Pacific Motorway project is an upgrade to 15km of the Pacific Motorway
through Rochedale South, Springwood, Daisy Hill, Shailer Park and Loganholme.
The project aims to:
- managing ongoing travel demand in the corridor
- providing for sustainable modes of transport
- safety and access for traffic, pedestrians and cyclists
- traffic delays causing frustration for motorway users and
- balancing the needs of traffic on the motorway with the needs of people
living and working nearby
The planning of the project includes adding two transit lanes, two dedicated
motorway bus lanes, the Logan City section of the V1 cycleway, reduction of
ramps by use of collector distributors and improvements to geometry to bring
the corridor up to standard.
